Winter can be tough! Cold, wet weather and all those bugs going round, plus a busy (or maybe not so busy….) festive season. That’s why, this year NHS Bolton Clinical Commissioning has produced ‘Think Winter’ – a brand new publication packed full of handy information, tips, and advice to help Bolton people through the winter months. You can even cut out and keep some bits for reference over the coming months. Have you got your copy of Think Winter yet?
It’s got everything you and your family need to stay healthy, happy, and safe this winter including…
- How to fight a cold
- What A&E is really for (the clue’s in the name…)
- Why we all need to Think GP!
- How to cope with a tummy bug
- What to do with a poorly child
- Taking care of our older residents
- Having fun and staying safe
- Keeping our minds healthy
There’s also a handy directory at the back with lots of useful contacts for organisations that can help you to stay warm and well this winter. Don’t miss our list of Bolton pharmacies that open late in the evening and at weekends. Your local pharmacy is a great place to go for expert advice and over the counter medicines without an appointment. Lots of pharmacies even have private consultation rooms.
You can pick up your copy of Think Winter at Bolton’s GP practices, UCAN centres, health centres, health centres, or you may have received it via your child’s school. Or you can download it here.
Think Winter has been produced in partnership with Bolton Council, Bolton NHS Foundation Trust, Bolton Healthwatch and Bolton CVS.
